Harrisburg Area Community College Master Plan
Traffic impact study, transportation planning
Grove Miller Engineering, Inc. completed a comprehensive traffic impact study in conjunction with the HACC Master Plan. A comprehensive traffic study was conducted for the Harrisburg, Lancaster, and Gettysburg campuses. The study evaluated the campus access locations, the street networks in the vicinity of the campuses, and internal campus circulation patterns. Traffic engineering activities included collection of traffic data, documentation of trip generation potential, estimation of design year traffic volumes, highway capacity analyses, intersection crash analyses, parking survey, and development of short and long term roadway and traffic control improvements. Twelve (12) intersections within the campus study areas were analyzed in conjunction with the Master Plan.
