Traffic impact study, transportation planning

Engineering Activities:
Grove Miller Engineering, Inc. is in the process of completing a comprehensive traffic impact study in conjunction with the HACC Master Plan. A comprehensive traffic study will be conducted for the Harrisburg, Lancaster, and Gettysburg campuses. The study will evaluate the campus access locations, the street networks in the vicinity of the campuses, and internal campus circulation patterns. Traffic engineering activities will include collection of traffic data, documentation of trip generation potential, estimation of design year traffic volumes, highway capacity analyses, intersection crash analyses, parking survey, and development of short and long term roadway and traffic control improvements. Twelve (12) intersections within the campus study areas will be analyzed in conjunction with the Master Plan.
