Camp Hill Shopping Center

Project Location:
Camp Hill Borough, Cumberland County, PA

Project Description:
Traffic impact study, access assessment, and traffic signal designs Renovation of 500,000 s.f. shopping center

Engineering Activities:
Grove Miller Engineering, Inc. completed a traffic access assessment for the renovation of a 500,000 square foot shopping mall. The renovations included conversion of the mall into a strip shopping center and reconfiguration of the internal roadway network and parking. Two (2) primary access locations were improved and traffic signals were updated. A traffic impact study was prepared to evaluate the increase in traffic volumes resulting from increased center occupancy. Improvements along the Trindle Road and the 32nd Street site frontages were coordinated with PENNDOT. Traffic engineering activities included collection of traffic data, documentation of trip generation potential, estimation of design year traffic volumes, highway capacity analyses, intersection crash analyses, traffic signal designs, and preparation of traffic signal construction drawings.
